RED ROCK BEACH Marin County, Northern California

Water temperature....cold year round......too cold to swim for long...wading O.K. Quality of sand... fine, light/dark brown sand.........lots of rocks around edges of beach. Clothing Optional...this is primarily a singles and couples nudist beach. Size of beach....Red Rock is a short, narrow beach, surrounded by rocks and high cliffs. Crowds....generally uncrowded except on hot summer weekends. Parking is difficult..there is a gravel lot adjacent the road at the top of a cliff. A difficult winding path leads down to the beach. Closest city....Stinson, a small community a few miles up the road (North). Night Life.........not much...a couple of bars in Stinson...closest cities are Mill Valley & Sausilito. Attractions......Stinson Beach is close by,...the town of Stinson has restaurants and small stores.
